New Google update coming soon

Just a few days ago I mentioned that Google was crawling a very outdated set of URLs:

I noticed that the September update wasn't quite going right, as did several others here on BHW and elsewhere. Long discussion on the above linked thread.

24 hours ago Google put out a notice that it had a new indexing problem:

You'll remember that just before the September update they also had an indexing problem. Then came a deep crawl.

Sure enough this morning lots of sites I monitor had their rankings back to August/September 2019 rankings and Googlebot was heavily crawling again, hitting many sites several times per second. This isn't just a refresh crawl, it's a deep crawl.

tl;dr; Brace for a new update soon. The September update didn't roll out as smoothly as they planned.

One of my sites was affected with the 'delay in indexing fresh content' issue. In fact for days my new contents don't get indexed even if I submit to Google using the inspect URL tool, I had to resort to using third party indexing services to them indexed, and yea they work and in a matter of few days, those posts start attracting little search traffic.

I hope this new fix they're about to roll out solves it permanently and also improves my rankings...

It’s only a matter of time as indexing was starting to be painful, I have been using webmaster tool to catch it but yea glad they’re fixing it

Yep. Zero click searches. Look at the new snippets, it's like the whole content is on the search results, people no longer need to visit the site who created the content.

Still SEO is the most profitable long term online marketing. SEO and email lists are king.

If you stray off mainstream searches just a bit, the results are Cuil grade.
