New Google Update. Anyone impacted by it ?

My website lost 90% of the traffic from this update. https://searchengineland.com/google-may-2020-core-update-rolling-out-today-334128

My website was pure whitehat. Feels really bad. Anyone else facing this ?

Fully agree, my white hat sites are down 50%, old sites (7+ years), no black-hat, quality content, until now wasn't hit by almost any update, all stable. Now, good content is nowhere, while some shitty ones which I wanted to delete are up..Makes no sense. Further, checked my blackhat sites with spun content and quite a lot of useless backlinks and this is stable or even up.

I've been doing SEO for 8 years but this now is something completely different. Hope it's just G dance, and that will settle soon. If no, I can only buy vaseline and give my ass to google.

Sad to see that you lost 90% of traffic but it might just be temporary.

I have two sites, one is fully whitehat, no dodgy backlinks, quality long content, gets social media post shares every day, Great DA and Majestic metrics, it also held top Google positions for years.
This site got smacked down badly by Google over last month, lost 70% of its rankings!

My other site is an 'abandoned site', not updated a thing in over a year, plenty of spammy old backlinks. low DA and Majestic metrics, high Moz spam score...in words,a forgotten crappy old site
this site increased it's rankings by about 60% and now gets more visitors than my quality and nurtured site.

Its just incredible. I think at that point, I just decided I'd stop trying to understand Google anymore, because you can't. Might as well move to the shady side...because being a 'good boy' for Google just gets you nowhere.
