That works in your case, but all of these companies do that. The reason they are successful is because most will not transfer their website or domain to another host and will remain at GoDaddy.

In short, these promotions cause forum members to promote their deals because they know that they will attract people who have never heard of SOPA or just simply want to save a few bucks. I have over 160 active domains with NameCheap and never think about using GoDaddy even if I would save a few dollars.

That's my take on it.
