New Ebay Selling Limits May Change Ebay Forever

We all know that eGay is a pain in the posterior.

However, if you're smart enough about it you can use the sales to generate/collect new leads and direct them to your website for future purchases.

My advice, as always, is don't put all your eggs in one basket and don't make eGay your only source of income.

This just means that you will need to run several accounts at ounce this holiday season if you want to make a profit. With all of the lawsuits and angry sellers eBay can't afford to keep this restrictions up for long they rely on rerplica money plain and simple.

Illuminati gettin the finger :lock1:vices out again

I was talking to my account manager today, and I asked him about eBays plans and how they are getting rid of knock offs and this is what he told me.

We are starting to restrict and monitor more of the larger sellers from Asia. Their low prices have made it so that eBay buyers are starting to opt for cheaper prices for items that have a higher non-delivery rate. Also, because sellers who are selling such high volume at low prices up high feedback and trust with eBay, that once they realize they aren't making money or are getting notices of being kicked off of eBay for low DSR's, they start selling replicas by the hundreds or scamming hundreds if not thousands of people.

eBay can't go after them either, or collect enough information to link accounts, not to mention sending legal notices couldn't be any more worthless. They are already up and running again before they are banned.

Whats this mean for me? ...Lower competition! Can't compete with me and my free shipping (which improved DSR's automatically) and being in the market. One of my smaller competitors selling one of my favorite niche of items are currently suspended. woot. Looks like its all starting to take affect. Also, I reported a knock off, just to see the response (usually I don't stick my hands into other peoples food) and the item was gone in an HOUR.

I'm interested to see whats going to happen with this, and see if it turns back to normal after Christmas.

Also, Amazon is making some internal changes as well. I got a call today asking if I dropship (I usually do, but not on Amazon) and was asked to provide pictures of my inventory in my possession.

I have some digital products on ebay and got a notice as of Oct. 26th, I can no longer have multiple listings. Is this similiar to what you have posted? I was very disappointed in their new policies. So how do you list the same products more than once?

thats disgusting - Amazon themselves dropship!

Both seem to be making some pretty big changes. I sell in multiple categories. I index 20 of my biggest competitors, and I take notes on how they sell, what they sell, and the volume they sell. My largest competitor was someone from China who sells about 60 items a day, low value, high volume. He is GONE. My next competitor is someone who sells $20+ items, also from China. His inventory went from 371 last indexed on Oct 24th, 2010, now he is selling 10 items.

On Amazon, it's pretty much the same.

So, in this specific category of products, I've went from $3,000/week in gross sales, to $7,800/week.

Thanks for the great post.

This story makes for a great adiom for the entire worlds problmes.

False authority akin to fascism always equates to these problems.

The less a free market is a free market the less is expands and the mosre it wastes through corruption.

The answer is always technology and not statutes/laws.

Many smaller companies will spring up from this though.

Viva la revolution!

This is a great post! Im having the same problem now, I just lost my 2 accounts, that make me 3k a month! I opened, a new account and was told I cant list more then 10 items for 3 months, this wont work, since I need to list 2k items, So I need a solution? please pm me if you know what to do

Ebay is getting harder to get some money but i think once you are getting through a bit a trouble , it will save some of your time later.

I'm sorry , but all it takes is a few mishaps for a legitimate seller to get his account banned. Sellers are getting screwed left and right with the NSA policy , buyers get the package , and then return it with a fake item inside and blame it on the seller for sending them a fake item , and the buyer has priority to win.

eBay is only good to get screwed , thats why i concentrate more on pumping many accounts rather than getting to live long.

People are craving another major auction website and hating eBay , it's only a matter of time before a startup with huge funds starts mass advertising and takes over ebay's buyers. The problems are not only selling restrictions , it's the fees. 10% FKN FEES ARE YOU KIDDING ME. but nobody complains about them now since there's way more massive problems , like this one for example.

Asian sellers have low DSR's because shipping is slow and expensive from China and ebay buyers are the dumbest group of people on the face of this planet, not caring that somethings just cant be changed (i want it now and i want it free attitude) so they slam the Asian seller for shipping time and shipping cost.

That's so true. I got an account penalized because 2% of my customers left a 1 or 2 star for delivery time even though I had 100% feedback and I always dispatched on time! eBay didn't return my $80 shop fees that were useless because of the penalty.

Hi all, I'm not well in english. I found interest & start selling on ebXy. Always meet the selling limit problem. For me, time is money, now EbXy limit 10 listing for new account for a month. WE DO BUSINESS ONLY CAN SELL 10 items in a month ??? The 10 items profit can cover our living expense ??? This is JOKE ! EbXy dont need to place limit to the seller who received 100% positive feedback. Cause buyer satisfy with the seller. If EbXy want restrict seller from Asian, why allow Asian seller to register/selling on EbXy ? Why large companies like to build factory in Asian, especially in CHINA. Asian people can set up website for selling in future, I'm worry how Ebxy make money on that time. What do your think if everyone away from Ebxy? I already want build a website for myself, I can list a lot items :p. I want say bye bye to Ebxy. I dont want control by Ebxy. We are paying a lot fees on ebxy & Pxypax.

Yep, I got about 150 items canceled due to being duplicates. I think that might be a good thing. Your customers can find you easier with less clutter. I still think e-b-a-y is still a pretty good place to sell high profit items, but not as a primary source of income. As for mamazon, I get spam unsolicited email from them on a weekly basis.

I dont think this limit iis good for the sellers, just 10 items for 30 days, then for small products its too less profit. I think its gonna bad for the ebay
