Hi all, I have recently started a new e-commerce website selling our products, we are looking for a cost effective way of upping our rank on Google and researching keywords, I designed the website as I am a Web designer but I'm not an SEO specialist.

Can anyone advise of some good steps to take? I believe we need to do some link building, can anyone recommend a package that will help.

Regards,

Hawky

Have you registered your site on ahrefs free webmaster at least? They have a full set of metrics that you can follow to get good improvements in many aspects of your SEO, but if you're looking for backlinks, best start with some regular real social media promotion and organic traffic before you think about backlinks. In reality, a new site with no presence or history on google wouldn't get backlinks, unless it was a social viral hit. Give it a bit of time, look at the various packages in the marketplace, and choose something you feel will bring value to the backlink portfolio of the site. Press releases can be a popular way to start for example. Even big companies still send them out using the same methods as BHW sellers.

My suggestion to anyone starting a new business is not to just focus on one dimension. Get the most of your money and be multi-dimensional focused. Invest a little bit more and get more.

1) You can guy Guest Posts / news posts that announce your launch to start

Benefits? You get your brand seen by target audience and you get back-links. You may even get syndication or picked up naturally from the news, giving even more back-links. All of this helps you in SERPS.

2) Social media marketing the guest posts / news posts

Pay to get your social media marketed/shared across different networks. These posts need to be monitored and influenced, to control the narrative of your brand and where the news posts goes in the minds of everyone seeing these public posts.

This helps the ranks of your guest posts in serps, which increases your the power of the back-links going to your site.

Also, you will also reach more of your target audience and generate more clients.

Simple .......................

3) Get original images / media made

When building a brand. Use original images/media. It helps. I can't elaborate because this is a special touch of mine. But the basic surface level of what's said here should easily be understod.

These are my Tips to you as a professional. Good luck.

If you have ahref keyword tool you can find your competitor low competition keyword or find product that rank. Then write quality product description and use quality image. Use good silo structure for your site ranking, this will help to rank fast with very low amount of backlinks Because it will pass link juice for every category or post. Share your product to social sites use free or paid way. Mainly low competition keyword, silo structure, social share, and high authority backlink can rank your e-commerce product pages and site... Hope it will help.
