Sounds like ICANN wants another round of crowd funding. Instead removing the TLDs and making any generic name possible, they make a new sales out of thin air.

Here is my 2 cents

we have almost unlimited ipv6 addresses , and almost all networks/machines are IPV6 ready ..
and we can switch to ipv6 right now ..sure there will be a few hiccups but we can do it ..
right ..? with me so far .. ?

so "theoretically" the older tech , the ipv4 , the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx addresses should be almost of no value .. right ?

just to kinda explain to you ..no matter how good/cool/interesting the new thing is

the OLD will always have value ..

ie .. expect the .com/.net to become MORE valuable .. MUCH more ..than what they are now
