    Jibonnodi02,

I'm guessing you will receive many answers to your question. There are lots of choices out there (i.e. Wordpress self-hosted or web based, blogger, Joomla, Drupal, tumblr, LiveJournal.com, blog.com, etc)

A self-hosted Wordpress site is a good option (as mentioned by the other members). The reason Wordpress is so popular is that there are lots of add-ons and plugins that can help you make a very functional and professional website with no programming knowledge and very quickly. In other words it can make you look like a superstar web designer even if you have never heard of HTML. The other reason is that because it is so popular, there is a lot of support out there for it.

One of the more well known web-based options have their own strengths and weaknesses. Wordpress.com (web-based wordpress) and blogger.com are both super easy to set up and start blogging fast however you will relinquish some control over how the site is constructed. You may not be able to install plugins and you will have less control over what you blog about (within reason. Some content gets taken down by these providers if it violates their terms).

Here are more platforms that you could check out,

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn

WP has a lot of useful plugins, it is perfect for SEO and Google doesn't index it for years.
    I'm for Wordpress

I would suggest "Wordpress" as the best platform to take things forward...
