New Adwords Account Phone Number

Hey Guys,

I am in the process of trying to set up a new Adwords account. I am setting it up using proxy out of my VPS. I have a fresh email and of course I can give fake contact information, but how do I get around the phone number that is required? Are they going to use that phone number for validation, or can I just give a fake one? I would much appreciate any feedback from anyone who has done this before.
