Hey all,

I bought a domain for 0.99$ one year ago to test some code for a school project.
One year later I didn't even get a single renewal notifier in my mail box and now they're sending me e-mails that I have to pay 24.99$ where of 6$ is a 'fine' because I didn't pay before the right date or something?

They're basically saying I have to pay 6$ because I ignored an e-mail I never had, shittiest provider ever (overpriced renewal aswell)

They sold my e-mail, right after I bought that domain I received a few e-mails about companies that could build a website for me.

I'm not surprised.

I haven't dealt with them in over 10 years. Looks like they haven't changed much.
 
1&1 are the worst by far.

Everything is a chore with those fucks

If you didn't have domain privacy, those website makers took your information from Whois.net
 
Took 4 days for them to set up my "instant-activation domain" contract. :/
 
I remember signing up with them when they first started. They offered 3 years of free hosting at the time, and the experience was nothing but a nightmare. I hated them so much I moved to paid hosting halfway through lol.
 
1and1 is probably the worst domain provider. They reset my domain DNS settings 2-3 times every month. WTF?
 
they have a bad reputation .... personally i have o experience with them
 
I never had problems with 1and1. But I buy cheap domain from theme then transfer out to Namesilo after three months. Done!
