Never got with Google update ?

Hi, anyone here who started with a fresh brand new domain and now getting over 100k visitors or million visitors a month and NEVER got hit with Google update?

Also which kind of sites never gets affected with new google updates? Sites like cnn, cnbc?

Im sure all sites get hit with it in some way. They’re not exactly algorithmic changes but small tweaks, which effect most sites on the search engine that are ranking.

If someone were to say they’ve never been impacted by a Google update, I’d call them a liar or someone who should be playing the lottery.

So giant news sites like Cnn.com, cnbc, nytimes, forbes.com , they also face same decline in traffic from time to time?

Certainly. Their rankings change just like any other websites, but they have so much traffic/exposure that it’s not going to matter. It’s a drop in the bucket to them.

I manage a site for an NGO that has never been hit by any update.
Pretty stable in this sense with a ton of traffic. Problem is that it cannot be monetized with ads and all that for obvious reasons. I would not say that all NGO follow this pattern, but definitelly I would say that sites that naturally get a whole load of links without making effort are stable AF. In this case, the NGO can pick like 50-100 links from DR80+ sites with ease and free, something 100% unimaginable with my other sites.

My theory based on this, is that any site that can develop the real path for my linkbuilding strategy (not faked as I suggest), will be stable as a rock
