For transfers, NameCheap, NameSilo, and Porkbun are all within a few pennies of $10.75, and 1&1 is $8.
For renewals, Porkbun is $11, NameSilo is $12, NameCheap is $15, and 1&1 is 20.
If you're looking for a one-off transfer on a throwaway domain, the cheapest transfer price is fine. But if you're hoping to renew later, the cheapest transfer price is more than made up by the inflated renewal costs.
But their renewal price is $17/yr, and privacy is an additional $15/yr. So in comparison to Porkbun or NameSilo, the domain is about triple in price for the same benefits.

Some of the registrars and resellers have extra fees when transferring away from their service, don't just buy the cheapest transfer thinking you can get the discount and move on.
If you're making so little with the domain that a $3/year difference is worth the risk of getting an extra $40 fee and potentially losing your domain, you may want to try out some different methods.

True dat and some registrars make it hard to transfer the domain, so sparing a few dollars on the renewal fee by transferring (especially to some shadier registrar with bad reviews), often cause headaches later, when you want to transfer the domain again to somewhere else. Porkbun is good and cheap generally.

Their renewal price is $18/yr, and they require at least one renewal before allowing an outgoing transfer.
Just spend the extra $.50/month and go with a trusted registrar, and use that time to improve your methods instead.
