Sad news indeed, although not entirely unexpected. He has been very ill for quite a while. I just hope now the his family stop squabbling about where to bury him.

I dunno, I could have sworn, a couple days ago, I saw on the news he was going somewhere. Now I hear he's dead? Surreal.

One of my true heroes. I got home and found out, I am very emotional about it. Mandela changed the world in so many ways.
Right when he was let out of jail, South Africa gave up all nuclear weapons. No other nation has ever done that. Then a while later they elected Mandela. South Africa and Mandela helped shape the world we're in today, and the things they did more than 20 years ago are still due for other nations to do today. Mandela set an example that will outlive him for many many generations. I wish I could do in this life but 1% of what Mandela did. RIP.

R.I.P Mr. Mandela. You won my respect and admiration so many years ago. We loss a great man today but you will never be forgotten!
