    Hey everyone,

    Just was curious: https://www.quicksprout.com/pro/

On Neil Patel's site, he has this "website analyzer" that basically you input your domain into, it "scans" it, let's you know it found some errors, and then a contact form pops up "Let me help you.. consultation.. blah blah"

Do you guys think this is actually scanning your site? Or is it the same "errors found 1..2...3..4" for every domain regardless and it's merely an animation?

What are your thoughts on this tactic?

Also: If I wanted to implement this, but actually use a crawler i.e. Majestic, Ahrefs, etc... Is there any way you're able to ask them for an API key or something so you can utilize that? If you include some text that says "Scanned by Majestic" or something?

Try putting the same website in there using different browsers and proxies and see if it shows different results.

My money is on different results popping up.

Pretty sure it's just an animation so he can spam your email.

    I made a test. Pre-requisites:

    1. Two websites. One is multiloginapp.com, other is the development version of the same website. The live site is fine while the development version has no CDN, no caching, all pages protected from indexing in robots.txt, 404 errors, missing titles and many other "flaws"
    2. A few different sessions in Multiloginapp configured in a way that should be more than enough to fool any browser fingerprint analyzer

    Test 1:
    website: multiloginapp.com
    result: 8 errors

    Test 2 (new unique session):
    website: multiloginapp.com
    result: 8 errors

    Test 3: (new unique session):
    website: the development version
    result: 7 errors.

Whooaaa? 7 errors in the messy dev version while 8 errors in the polished live website? Nice test, bro!

I think it saves information about the previously tested website, so one couldn't get different results by performing the test in different browsers. However, the test itself is just animation with random results. Neil Patel is confirmed bullshitter.

Type in a word and you will get BS. According to him the word "fake" has 9 errors... sounds legit

I also got 9 errors for the word "fake", which confirms my theory above about saving the results for previously performed tests

    Its just a marketing technique.

For getting Majestic/Ahrefs APIs, you need to get a subscription.

Haha, thanks for the replies everyone. I know all about who he is, what he's about and all that. I'm not one to follow "SEO guru BS"

I have a subscription to both Majestic and Ahrefs, anyone ever incorporated their crawlers into something similar to this? So instead of this being an obvious "give me your contact info", it could have some legitimately useful info for both potential clients and myself?

What are yall's thoughts on incorporating this into an agency's site? Maybe on a page "Check your domain" or something similar - if only for the same reason creepy bald man does it - contact info.

The main difference between my agency and creepy bald man though? I'll actually do a consultation, review website, run an audit through screamingfrog, etc... Not just spam emails about the "latest and greatest seo trends of 2017 - and what to ditch with 2016" or some click-bait junk like that.

If you do all that work for them for free, I'd try to get them do a live chat on Skype instead of just emailing them the report. Get them to invest a little more if you're putting that much work into it.

Wait, Neil Patel with hair?! What is this craziness? Yet LITERALLY everything else (his creepy smile specifically) is unchanged..
