I have a competitor that goes to my site and runs searches for pages or topics that do not exist. The Search engines come by and crawl those searches. this results in a very large 404 report that is somewhere around 20 times more pages than the site actually has. The site has around 30 pages and I routinely see 7000 404 pages in WBT (I publish in 60 languages).
Because I know exactly which competitor is doing this (I have extensive logging), I would like to redirect those crawled 404 searches in a fashion that most damages that competitor.
What are your opinions about the best approach of redirecting the 404's pages in the most damaging way back to the site that is doing this?
