Negative SEO Example - Intentional or Error ?

I think competitor might be done. you need to disvow the links soon.

Has your site traffic also been affected by this attack?

What niche are you in? If you don't feel like writing this in public, send me a PM.

no traffic wasn't impacted fortunately.
I had disavowed the links and for now things seems to be stable .

niche is academic

[QUOTE = "seoz87, post: 12418950, członek: 21505"] Na szczęście nie miało to wpływu na ruch.
Zrzekłem się linków i na razie wszystko wydaje się stabilne.

I am in a completely different niche (internet services)

For me, unfortunately, the page ranking has dropped. It is possible that this is because I added all domains to the disavov tool only when the links appeared in the Google Search Console.

At the moment, I have almost all domains in my disavov tool file and I am waiting for my ranking to improve.

However, another thing bothers me....

Yesterday, more links to my page appeared in the Google Search Console. How great was my surprise when one new and well-known to me appeared among the links:
BDrLCEB

What the hell is this ?!

In the BHW thread I did not provide a link to my site, so where did it come from? It seems like my site is somehow linked to http://www.datumconnect.co.nz

I checked the source of this page, but I did not find any link to my page or any other trace.

Someone something?

this is the spooky thing about this technique...

you cant find the link of any site on any pron domain...even if you use screamingfrog or google bot or anything.

Exactly.

Thanks to the fact that I described my problem here and quite accidentally posted the link "http://www.datumconnect.co.nz/ra.asp?url=" in this thread I was able to diagnose the source of the problem. Since the GSC backlink from BHW with anchor text "http://www.datumconnect.co.nz/ra.asp?url=" clearly means that my site has a strange connection to datumconnect.co.nz. It is worth noting that the link in GSC was detected despite the lack of redirection (I did not put a link like http://www.datumconnect.co.nz/ra.asp?url=https://example.com)

How it was done, however, I have no idea ... Much earlier I added almost 700 domains to the disavov file, but I did not put datumconnect.co.nz, because I thought it was a completely normal website and it does not harm my site. I just added datumconnect.co.nz to the disavov file and I will be observing what is going on in the coming weeks. :)

Since you were attacked in the same way, I think you should also disavov the domain shop.bsigroup.com (if you haven't done so before), even though this is a completely normal website.

Greetings

already did .. :)

Does anyone in the community struggled with such a problem?

I have 5 websites on one hosting server and 3 websites suffer from this type of attack. I have absolutely no idea what caused this... :(
