This in combination with a lot of 24/7/365 spam links could maybe work ...

If you send spam links to an authority site it ranks higher :/

OR What you could do is kill two things with one boulder which will help you with your seo and may even protect your own seo.......

if you do tier link building with gsa or something else....... use authority links in your kitchen sink bottom tier helping boost the naturalness of your bottom tiers...... because these tiers point to your bottom tiers the badness wont effect your money site if your clever about it... and the spam to the authority links will if every everyone does it wreck the link profiles of these big websites...... wrecking the whole use of Google correlations of what makes a good website and what doesnt. meaning theoretically spam website become what Google recognize as not spam....

Apparently some people can't read. OP did not mention negative SEO. He asked if it would potentially be effective to build mass links to brand sites to "morph" the new algorithm to see our links as more natural. My opinion is yes, but I'm sure there is already some super SEO doing this. I've been linking to brand / competitors in majority of my links since Penguin 1.0.
