Need to Make Money Before January 8th

I don't know if I should tell OP that it all gets better after a while. Getting somewhere in this internet marketing gig takes a lot of time. But after finding what you are good at, and scaling up on that skill, it will get better. Giving up means that you are letting your weakness to get you.

Or ask Sherbert if the offer to do the fifteen 500 word articles still remain. I'll do it.

With all that experience you should definitely be charging at least ten cents a word. Nothing less.

Take your time and find some real clients while you're working for Sherbert. It's a lot of hard work but it's worth the payoff.

Thanks! I've actually only been doing the news article rewriting since sometime last year (I can't remember exactly when I started that- time flies!) However, I have been doing copywriting stuff on and off for almost the full ten years. So, I guess technically I have been getting paid to write for almost ten years. I started working for my "client" in 2007, and at the time I was actually working in the office as an employee for about 3 years. I was in the marketing department, but I did a slew of tasks from copywriting to billing customers to tech support, you name it. Then, in 2011 after I had moved to a different state, they offered me a work-at-home contract through a different company they formed. That is when I started doing other work for them, and then the news article rewriting. I've actually done some Wordpress maintenance too, but it was tasks they specifically told me to do, so I'm not sure if I actually have "experience" with that. It was basically installing/changing plugin settings, running certain plugins, etc. I think the 4 cents per word is probably better for me until I gain more experience with other clients before I feel confident enough to charge more.

I told Sherbert I would do the work earlier in this thread, maybe he is just busy or changed his mind. Either way, I am somewhat encouraged by all of your thoughtful replies. I'm gonna be honest, I've been feeling like "giving up" so to say ever since my contract got reduced, but I just need to focus and not get discouraged so much.

Yep. Ups and downs are a part of life. When you're down, that's when you need people to help you push through. Glad we could help you out.

@Sherbert Hoover will probably send you a PM since you can't PM yet. Just be patient. He's probably winding down for the night. He'll probably contact you tomorrow.

I'll PM you in the morning. Are you in the US?

Hey Cats88, I have learned with anxiety that where the breath goes your mind will follow. Think about it, if your scared or stressed you have fast short breathing. When your relaxed and calm, your breath is longer and deeper.

So knowing this, I practice breath modification. I have taken no meds for anxiety for 20 years now, it works.
Long slow deep breathing is your friend. Try it, I hope you get sorted out. Peace!!!

I can help you.

Im not sure I can get you paid by the 8th, but I can help you make money.
