Hi BHW,
I wanted to know what things should i mention in competitor analysis

Do you want to provide report to your client about competitor analysis?
 
here some points:

Strength
Weakness
how can outrank the competitor
 
You can use tools like semrush, Ahref for competitor's analysis. It gives sufficient data for better analysis.
 
You can mention traffic and its source, backlinks and keyword rank, On page, etc and compare it with your site. You can also use Semrush to get better details.
 
I will also mention SeoSurfer with their NLP algorithm is great for competitor analysis.

You should mention also if sites they are competing against have the same keyword density, are using the keyword in the title, headlines, etc.
Great touch will be a list of possible links that your competitors have and are easy to get and your client's site is missing.

You should also mention competitors site type, if it is forum,blog etc.
