Need suggestions about SEO tools

Getting back to SEO after long time.
I used to Build micro niche websites and monetize those with Adsense.
I been reading a lot about the new stuff. but unable to catch up - got confused
Asking here. Do Micro Niche websites still work ?
I used to do keyword research with MicroNicheFinder . Anything better then that now?
i used to use Scrapebox and xrummer to build links. Any suggestions about building links?
Would love to hear some valuable suggestions here

I think that basically sums it up. I don't have much experience in micro niche sites, I don't think emds provide as much benefit as they used to but from what I understand the principal of targeting a small sub-niche with low competition is still exactly the same.

As for link building then if you want to stay safe(r) you need to keep links pointing directly to your site very high quality and then direct the lower quality automated stuff at those links - Unless of course you want to go for the all out spamming strategy but then you have to accept it if your site gets tanked.
