Need some youtube advice

I wanted to know from someone more knowledgeable than me if this is possible.

I am trying to slowly and passively earn some money with youtube and a link shortening service.

Is it possible to make a video, in the comments section briefly describe they can find more in my blog and then shorten the link with one of the services?

If you can get them to your website
Better to monetize the website
But yes its normal on youtube to use link shortners like bitly
