So my website from ten years ago is having SEO problems and stuff.
People complain at times that google wont show my own long tail keyword with out them adding a .com, which is kinda nutz
I need your feed back and thoughts on issues.
1 I have not logged into any related google accounts to the site in over 7 years (do you think I still have a google account tied to this? I ask as I don't remember what it was and if it is gone why go looking that was ten years ago and never used outside of a "google website registration/indexing" code you had to slap in your meta data back in the day to show up online).
2 I assume no google accounts tied to it would make the google registration code no good?
3 I assume that would make my trust rank go from "8" to a "2"
4 I find I have have about 808 spam back links to remove. (probably related to 3 as well)
Suggestions and advice welcome.
I think I need to
A) Make a google merchant account (that's a new thing for me but I am a quick study).
B) Associate it with my website probably with a new google meta data code inserted.
C) Wait a month for it to propagate?
D) Disavow bad links (but not sure how long it would take to be able to go in and do that)
Since you guys deal with this stuff and it is all fresh in your head, is this old hat even close to the mark of what to do next?
