Need some ideas

If you are into gaming you probably know of Razer Gaming, if not it doesn't matter. Theres this competition they got going and you get a point for each person who you refer, top ten get some nice prizes . Most people are just posting on forums and spamming refer link which probably wont get them that far so i thought i'd do something better. I have some ideas/methods but I'm not sure what would work to get people to sign up, and want to get some ideas / suggestions?

PS. This is not a mass project with tons of investment its just something I thought I could use some BH methods with and learn some as well.
