Need some hardware expert!

Hello everyone,

I will soon build myself a new gaming "machine".
But my hardware knowledge is a bit outdated.
I will build the tower myself and I will use a modded liquid cooling system that would be able to freeze my food if I would wanted to :P

So my question is...
What is the best possible "normal" hardware configuration you can get for your money this days. I know what I am doing and I already built several rigs myself.

Well, what ammount of $ do you have? average gaming PC is somewhere about $1500.

:eek: LOL. I built mine for $700 about 5 months ago and it can run BF3 on maxed settings while recording with fraps at 30 fps... lol.

Okay here is what I want to do... Run up2date games on ultra graphics without any fps problems, while rendering HD videos, while using 3 screens, while streaming gameplay or frapsing.

If you really need a budget: 5000 $ but I am able to pay more if needed (10.000 $ is also fine)

Edit: While running different kinds of other memory heavy programms etc. :)

I've built many, many computers. I'm not sure where you are, but be aware that thailand (one of the major harddrive manufacturers) recently flooded so HDD prices have gone up.

Can you give us a country to base you off?

get yourself 2 60GB SSD's(about $200 total) and run them in Raid 0... then get 2 2 TB's..($100+)

get like a 1000 W modular power supply($150)

get a nice case.

Good advice. How do the 590GTX's in SLI compare to the 6990's? I also recommend getting mroe than 60GB for SSD's, especially if he wants to run a heap of VMs (that's what I do for development) and a few games. :D

I'm not sure. but the 590's are damn expensive lol. and yeah he can get a LOT more with his budget..

twin Dell UltraSharp U3011 would be nice.

Haha nah just kidding about the quad sli...
I know thats a waste of money.

And yeah about the liquid cooling system... I already have one as I mentioned above... That beast is able to cool down my room!
Added some additional "features" to the basic cooling system :P
