need some guidance

hi, i'm glad to be here at the BHW because only here have i appreciate a lot of sharing good info and hopefully one day i can also share with you guys.
i do need some comments, or any guide and advice maybe, first of all, i am so confused because i get to do all things at one time and only by myself, except of course for some other services i paid for outsourcing like traffic.

i have several money making strategies:
1. a membership site
2. an ecommerce site - with my own products set up not completely done yet.
3. a movie/tv shows website - using CPA

so i did all this by myself and have learned from scratch, at first i did not know anything about how to build a membership sites, how to do wordpress and how to make an ecommerce site.

i'm earning somewhere here and there, not a whole lot. i know, i have to concentrate on one niche or project until it grows to its full potential before adding another project.

any advice on this? about my priorities? i'm totally confused which one to focus on first. please help.

As long as it's marketed in the right way, and has a niche, a membership site is a good idea. Go too broad, though, and you'll have a hard time finding new members.

e-commerce, the same, I mean, as long as it's marketed in the right way, and it's quality products, people will buy.

I know some people are doing well with the movie/tv show websites here, never tried it myself, but I guess it can pull a lot of traffic if done right.

Make a plan, and just do it. The most important thing is to have a plan.

okay, i guess i'll just create an organized plan to clear my mixed up mind. what would you suggest should i focus on more first? i've earned better in my ecommerce products then my membership site, however i just started with CPA and so far it is doing okay. hhmm...

Well, I'd focus on the things that bring in the most money first, and scale them. The trick is to find the fine line where you're not putting all eggs in one basket, but also not spreading out too wide so that none of the projects gets the focus it requires.

If the e-commerce products are making money, stick with them and try to scale a bit. If your CPA is going well, definitely try to scale that.

A membership site, if handled in the right way, is a long term recurring income, while CPA can vary a lot depending on what you're doing and how good you are. You can lose money with CPA, but barely with a membership site if done right.

the most that brings me money first are my e-commerce products, so i have to focus on this more first then, probably bring more traffic to it because my problem is bringing in more traffic to my site.
as for the membership site if i would have improved it better, i will earn much more with it but the CPA is the one i have lesser income probably because i just got started with it, but if i scale it a bit it can get possibly get better despite the saturation.

thank you for the advice, it helps me a lot by choosing which is best to prioritize first, i need to focus on one project at a time though, i know, i have to focus on one, but i just get distracted so easily so hopefully i'm getting there with the right direction. thank you

Would it be possible for you to juggle 5 apples while cooking dinner and trying to water the garden? My advice to you is keep it simple, work on one thing and give it all your focus and attention and when you hit the goals for that one thing (e.g ranking 5 + in google) then move onto your next thing. Take things at at time with one of your websites then move onto the next once you see results

lol i get your point, it sure is a wake up call for me. okay, i'll take it one step at a time, make some definite realistic plans and start from there.

one question though: how can i rank the top 10 of google if i have long tail keywords? article marketing?

It's incredible the power that other page ranked sites can give you. Stick with white hat and write lots of articles like you said. Link them all to your site from Squidoo, Weebly etc and then make sure you have a good themed keyword structure. For me, as soon as I started doing black hat stuff my site got sandboxed (and I didnt push it that far) before I did the BH stuff my niche site ranked 27th in google for the key term within a month. It can all be done by hand, just focus on articles and if you have to re-write them. Hope that helps

Yeah, I'd suggest reading up on some of the SEO threads here, build backlinks, optimize the page(s), use web 2.0 platforms like Inflow suggested. There have been books written on ranking high on google, so it's kind of hard answering that in one post, plus it's a bit off topic for the thread

okay, i'm back for my project updates after a while, have been working on adding products to my ecommerce sites, worked on building links, and so far my income has increased yayyyyyyyyy!!! thank you all, then next plan is to make a new membership site on a specific niche, more like micro niche. Then will see from there.
