stupid questions here:
during the time period you had linked your PBN to your site, did you have analytics? was your site indexed? also did you bring any visitors to the main site with social media/adwords/calling friends etc etc. (people may take me for a fool but i belive it is very crucial to bring visitors at your site during the time period you were linking)
it is a little bit suspecious if you have 0 visitors on your site but 30 backlinks from new blogs which are pointing at your site during a time period of 14 days.
Diversity is the key mate.

Yes, having indexed links is quite important. You need to vary your anchors and build other links types as well.
