Yup - they call to sell you "protection" - like the fucking mafia.

Now that they successfully sued google for discrimination - and won - the bastards go and do this. Google lost a lawsuit so they cant filter yelps reviews - and now that yelp has this - they use it to extort SMBs into their protection racket.

Had a client who's former seo - who sucked donkey balls - listed his name as Sex Offender! Made up a fake profile for a family from Florida who where traveling to the state where this guy lived and hired the guy for a weekend to train their kid for using PC [ seriously - ffs ] - and alleged he "offended the kid - sexually" and its in the serps with that shit in the title ...

This ROR guy should be castrated.

So to the assclown above who stated the ORM clients shouldnt rip people off - how about you getting the facts before making dumbfuck accusations like that.

ROR is a easy lay down cesspool of fucking lies and bullshit - and if you believe the shit on that site - then you will get your reach-around soon enough.
 
Use different CMSs other than just wordpress. Google seems to want diversity in CMS technology.
 
I am needing a working method for removing this kind of stuff. PM with you mail for communication if you can provide such, because I can't PM in the forum. And again - I need a method for removing those things, not removing service.
 
zoomsixx added you to skype and pm'd you I have a client on page 1 who is 100% legit, they are all from his competion. He will gladly pay very good money to get off page one, again all the posts on ror are 100% bogus.
 
BBB operates the same way. IN FACT,...i would say that ROR modeled their business after the BBB.

BBB operates like this. They do CHIT for the business owner....BUT, if a potential (ignorant) customer (about 90% of them) calls the BBB and they look up the company name and the BBB says...."I'M SORRY, THAT COMPANY IS NOT A MEMBER."....the implications are "they weren't good enough to meet the BBB standards."

Hoping you guys can help me out here. I have several defamatory and libelous reviews about me and my company on ROR, pissedconsumer and scambook. They are ALL 100% made-up and false and I know exactly who posted them (it's a company who I paid to do marketing for me and they ended up just stealing my money so I reported them to the bbb, consumer affairs, etc). I also posted a review on ROR because I googled the company and saw that someone else had posted about them on ROR (I had never even heard of ROR before this incident). I guess that set these guys off because they've since posted several false reviews about us. These defamatory and libelous reviews are popping up on page 1 & 2 of google when you search on my name, one of my co-worker's names and my company's name.

We are currently consulting with an attorney, but it will cost a small fortune to pursue this with them. We've also consulted with some of the popular reputation management companies, but those are expensive too and we just can't afford to pay them. We are a 100% legitimate and honest company, and we had a sterling reputation before this crook came along. It took us more than 10 years to build our online reputation and now these crooks have ruined it within a matter of days.

We really need help with this, and I would really appreciate it if you guys could help us out with some suggestions, etc. I have proof that these posts are fake (the guy emailed me to tell me that he was going to post negative reviews about us online), and I can point you to several legitimate websites with glowing reviews about our company. We are hardworking people who are the victims here, and we just want our reputations back so we can make a living.
 
Agreed that it's costly to mess with people who do that kind of negative SEO/review. Your best, least expensive approach, from my experience is to push your positive reputation past their negative reputation. Basically, manage your own reputation and push theirs down the SERPs. Work on doing some guest posts on high PR blogs, do backlinking (high-PR, high-quality, RELEVANT) to your site and to positive mentions of your site. It's work, but you can do it with little to no expenditure. If you have someone who has access to one of the tools (eg: Scrapebox) you can do most of the research yourself pretty efficiently.

Thank you so much for your reply. As I'm sure you can tell, this world is very new to me, so I'm not familiar with a lot of the terms/names. What exactly is Scrapebox?
 
I just discover this Ripoff. Seems to play online racket with their process.

Third, you should NEVER pay anything up-front to an SEO company. Legitimate SEO companies will agree to show results before you are charged anything, so if you are asked to pay first, thats a huge red flag that should convince you to walk away immediately. Again, once you let them know you are slightly interested, more than likely they will make things worse for you and you will be beholden to them forever.

First, you can always deal with a complaint on Ripoff Report by filing a free rebuttal. Ripoff Report charges nothing whatsoever to post rebuttals, so why not use this opportunity to explain your side of the story at no cost to you? Think a report is fake? Say so! Demand that the author supply proof (copies of receipt, invoices, etc.) showing that they are real customer. As we like to say: Every business will get complaints, but thats not what really counts. Customers dont care about complaints, they care about seeing how a company handled the complaint. If you use a free rebuttal to show your customers that your business really cares about providing the best product/service, this will show that your customers can trust you to make things right if something ever goes wrong.

Scrapebox is sold on BHW, just search it out. It can automate a lot of your work for you. This thread may be helpful in giving more information and direction.

So I noticed that the ripoffreport I posted no longer shows up in google's search results when I google the name of the company I reported (I had posted a retraction of my report because the guy I reported started posting a bunch of false and defamatory reviews about me on my company and I was hoping he would do the same in return); however, there's another ripoffreport about the same company that still shows up in google's search results even though there's a retraction to that post as well. How would this guy have managed to get that ripoffreport to stop showing up in google's search results?
