I have a client that has a rip off report on the first page of two of his keywords and he hired me to get it off the first page.

I submitted articles and business listings and got them on the first page, but can't outrank that rip off report still.

Anyone know any ways I can get this report off the first page either by making a bunch of free properties and outranking him or spamming the report page with bad links and getting it taken off, even though I'm pretty sure rip off report pages can't be spammed like that cuz the site is so reputable.

    Thanks in advance!

I did this before. (ROR sucks balls)

Pick 3 sites at a time (ranking lower on the page than the ROR).

Build High PR links on those 3 sites, like blog comments (even though they lost a lot of value, they still have some). If they are social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, or Youtube, or have a decent domain age, don't be afraid to do a few SMALL link blasts.

Slowly build links on the site ahead of the ROR, not as fast as the other 3, but some links.

Push the 3 above. Keep them above for a week.

Then rinse and repeat the whole process.

    It works.

(I was doing this for a guy maybe 2 months ago. But he kind of fell off the map, and the ROR started moving back up. The profit margin wasn't worth it, so I let it go. I think it'd be fun if you got my old client).

I had a similar situation before for a local client that sells weightloss pills. Instead of focusing on the ROR, I blasted videos, articles and PR's with titles such as "Is [product name] a scam?" or "[product namr] scam" or "Does [product name] work", you know where I am getting. And then interlinked them and built backlinks, after a few weeks, I got positive results. The ROR was pushed back to page 2 and now its already in page 3 where noone basically can read it.

Maybe your client shouldn't rip people off and that wouldn't be there on the first page for 2 keyword, brosky! And who's to say your client won't rip you off next by not paying you for that job...I hope you got paid first lol.

There is a ton of different ways to do it. One of my favorites is to buy the EMD of the keyword that is ranking that you want to push off the first page. For example "business + scam". Buy the .org, .net, .biz, .us ect. Whatever is available. Next, build a few mini-sites and make sure you highly optimize it for those terms (title tag, content, ect..). Make sure you have a privacy policy, and contact us page. Build out other pages also if you can, so Google will like it. Also, make sure that each website is hosted with different companies so they are not on same IP range. Then start backlinking using "business + scam" heavily in the anchor text.

You can also do this with Blogs, Articles, Press Releases, Doc Sharing sites, and more. Just make sure you backlink heavily to them once you are finished.

Reputation repair is time consuming and a lot of work. I really hope that you charged them accordingly. Most reputation repair companies charge anywhere from $3K-$30k.

what an awesome way of making money. create & seo a business saying its a rip off and then have another guy go in and say you can pay to take it down (bbb is notorious for this). basically exploit businesses that have bad seo and dont want to pay for you to do it in the first place. nasty but i defintely see a niche for this

The guy who runs ROR is a complete SCAM ARTIST!

He's tried to extort buddies of mine for large 5 figure payments to remove negative listings as being filed erroneously. I love to see threads like this bumping ROR off.

Good Job to anyone providing this service to clients.

Im not sure how someones opinion could be considered fake?

Also there are other reviews on that first page that are negative. I'd like to essentially own that first page of search results if possible.

On a side note, when you service xxx,xxx customers on a product, you're bound to have some legitimate complaints from a handful of unsatisfied customers right? Does that mean they are fake, no. Does that mean they are unfounded and not the norm, yes. I'll also be posting a thread on this shortly, thanks!

RipOff Report Proves that there really isn't any such thing as BlackHat SEO. Think about it, ROR engages in several violations of Google's TOS, not the least of which is massive Keyword Stuffing on all their pages. The owner, Ed Magedson, is currently dodging several class action lawsuits against him in several states. He claims false reports are not his site's property, but belong to the complaining visitor who publishes the ripoff company profiles (kind of like how MySpace and Facebook aren't responsible for false content on user profiles).

But then Magedson (Maggotson?) refuses to allow these same complaining posters from taking down their complaint profile against a company (such as when the poster and offending company reach an agreement, etc). Facebook and Myspace never inhibit its users from taking down profiles like ROR does- because that's how Maggot makes his money- he keeps the settled ROR profile up and running and showing up on Google's first page. Maggot then extorts money from victimized companies who's Googled name lookup has a ROR profile showing up at the top of the SERPs. ROR tells company owners that their profile (whether settled or falsely accused) will stay up on ROR (and by extension, Google's first page) but they can enter a "corporate resolution" program where ROR posts an addendum to their damaging company profile stating that "company" has taken steps to resolve this previous complaint, etc. And all the poor company owner has to do for this is write Maggot a check for several thousand dollars a month. F'n mafioso!

For some strange reason, Google is almost certainly aware of ROR's bad reputation and Blackhat SEO, Google yet continues to enable ROR's Unlawful Racket. It's Google's continued link love for ROR that allows ROR to continue to extort (and ruin) honest businesses who inevitably have a disgruntled customer once in a while.
