i recently had this problem. check my threads. VERY few ppl had answers for me or they all wanted thousands of $$'s so i got to work myself and did it! took 7! yes thats right 7!! ROR off from google and they are now in 100's pages of results. if you guys want results that arent going to cost u an arm plus a leg let me know or i will more then gladly point u in the right direction for a VERY small fee. i beat panda! and ROR!!! thats a double winner for me!

Guys, I have the following situation: client had a complaint on ROR , responded on the complaint page, solved the situation as stated by the one that filed the complaint (of course, all visible on the ROR page ) . Does the complainer has the possibility to simply delete the complaint from ROR? (haven't had to deal with ROR so far). Thanks!

... VERY bad idea. It will just give more authority to the ripoff report and increase it ranking in the SERPs.

My client got called to advertise. Yelp wanted $1000-1500/ mo in banner ads and coupons. He told them he can advertise but only for $300/mo. They refused. THE MOMENT HE HUNG UP THE PHONE hey noticed 15 good reviews disappear. and nine bad reviews stay live.
Those people at yelp are a bunch of dick heads!

I could use some help on this if someone can possibly help me on getting a Ripoff Report pushed down to the second or third page. I have been trying for about 2-3 months but am not making much headway and the ROR's rank is still almost the same.

There is a way to get Google to not show Ripoffreport at all in a search. First subpoena ROR for the information on the poster. Then file a defamation suit against that person. Make sure to list all associated links in defamation suit. Once you get the courts judgement that it is defamation, go to Google and submit the judgement to their legal department. Google will always obey a court judgement. Google will remove it from showing up in searches. It is long and tedious but worth it if its hurting your business. Plus you wont have to continue paying a reputation manager to keep pushing it down.

Isn't there a way to rebut a rip-off report without doing all this work?
Wallygeorge's advice above is solid in regards to pursuing the "offline" route. If you are trying to just push the rip off report off the front page and perform general online reputation management techniques, try some of the strategies in the following guides:

It really comes down to comparing the cost of legal options and ORM options, existing brand power, existing resources to leverage, comparing potential ROIs, severity of the issue, history of complaints, etc...
