Need Help with Unique Article Wizard: Error message: Curl error

I am using 1and1 basic hosting. My site has been up for almost a year, and now deciding to use UAW to help me with my busy life.

Everything has been set, but when hitting Update&Test, I got the following error:

Sorry, there was a problem submitting the test article for dir_id 18986 to hxxp://xxx.softwareloo.info/wp-content/plugins/unique_articles/add_article.php: Error message: Curl error: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 187 bytes received

Please, anyone experience this?

Yeah me too but with 0 bytes received.

I have actived curl options on my host panel and i wait for the result.

I come back later.

No result, same problem. I drop this shi_ in the recycle bin

does it really say xxx ? or www ?
are you all hosted at the same place ? 1and1 ?

the server is reachable on port 80, the php script is also there. so it must be something else than a simple reachability issue.
it reads like a firewall problem (that's why i asked about 1and1)
