    Hello,

I was recently banned off ebay for selling "Illegal items" so in turn I built my own website. (Using e-commerce software)

I now need traffic. They are offering me traffic and SEO services (my ecommerce site) for $39.99 for on year.

Now, I know people on here have a lot better deals, and software that could help me with SEO.

I have signed up with adwords and have a $50 code that I have used.

I searched the forum for site traffic and a lot came up about "Backlinks" however, I'm not sure if that's what I need or what?

I don't know if I should put my website up here as I saw on another thread they told him to take it down. Let me know if it's a good idea.

I would appreciate all your help. I'm selling bongs, pipes, vaporizers, etc.

Start your own "Headshop" page on Facebook. But dont waste money on FB ads cos drugs and shit wont get approved.

Look around the forum for as many freebies as you can get your hands on and get some free SEO.

Buy a few tools and do your own SEO. Im pretty sure if you join a few stoner forums and growing forums and message some of the more popular members and ask if they will put your link in their sig for a free bong or something.

Just buying traffic to an e-commerce site that is not targeted is a waste of time and money. G-S-T above has given you some good advice on moving in the right direction. Read all you can on here and in no time you will figure out what direction is best for you. Hope that helps.

I am pretty new to SEO myself check my join date.

I made several mistakes at the start and have done better ever since managing to rank a few sites in pretty short time. SEO is like life, the more you put in the more you get back.

1st thing is Keyword research, dont just shoot for the high volume words look for some smaller words to target and then as you start to rank them go after the tougher words.
Also make sure when researching a Keyword (KW) make sure to use EXACT searches to give you an accurate idea of the search volume.

2nd start a twitter account, facebook page and a youtube channel with your products. Getting fans helps but a side effect of putting your links on these sites is they git indexed pretty fast this way. This is something not mentioned much but it works.

3rd make sure you have good content. I know it is tough for an eCommerce site but you can start a little blog and write a handful of unique articles about your products. Then of course add a link back to your page so readers can look at your inventory.

4th submit your site to social bookmarking sites, you can do this by hand or evevn sign up for a service like "Onlywire" which lets you post 30 times per month for free.

5th create RSS feeds of your posts if you start a blog you can use bulkping.com to create feeds or submit feeds as well as "ping" your sites for faster indexing

6th Submit your articles to article directories, this will help get you some in context backlinks

7th submit your site to business directories

8th Try and get some articles posted to Web 2.0's like blogger, squidoo etc... you can create your own pages or pay someone to do it. The quality will be higher if you do it yourself.

9th Try to get your articles accepted by other blog owners. Perhaps they need content and you can send them some in exchange for a link or you can pay to have your article submitted to private blog networks.

10th keep track of ALL of your backlinks you are creating and you can do some small Xrummer or scrapebox blasts to those sites. Try not to do this directly to your site for now.

Other things you can do is sign up for forums related to your niche and comment on relevant posts with your niche, yahoo answers, blog posts with some comments and a link back to your site, submit a coupon code to coupon sites, contact your vendors and see if they will link back to you etc....

Depending on your budget this can be automated by several service here on BHW. PM me if you have some other questions.

    Hi,

Thank you for your responses. I guess I just lost some money then...I bought about $75 worth of traffic and still not a sale. However, I'm going to follow those methods given. I'd much rather pay than actually do the work myself.

I need help though. I thought I was smart in making a similar name to www.grasscity.com.

    My website is grasscitys.com

    Was that a silly move?

http://grasscitys.com is not even indexed in google. Dude first do some proper On-Site SEO. Compare your site with grasscity.com. Have some content for each and every product. First submit your site to search engines.

As your competition is considered it is hard to rank good. From your first post. Google Adwords don't allow you to sell Bongs, vaporizers, etc.,
Use twitter or any other social media to promote your product. Learn some stuffs here how to promote using social media.
Ask us if you need any assistance.

The name itself is not a big deal unless they try to come after you. But an exact match domain name might have been better. Think about what your customers are looking for but those names may be taken. But for instance if your customers search for glass pipes

glasspipes.com, net or org might be a good choice or something along those lines..even glass-pipes.com,net or org would be good...you get the idea.

Also your page is not optimized, there are no title tags, no meta description or meta keywords so the search engines have no idea of what your site is about!

I submitted my website to google and what not. Not sure if they approved it yet.

I know all my products and info are not up-to-par but I really need to start selling some of this stuff as I have it sitting in my house.

Ebay has banned me (suspended me) so I'm stuck for a month or two and have bills to pay. The site is the only option at the moment as craigslist has banned my IP.

Also do have some product description under every product with keyword in it.
Start building backlinks manually or buy scrapbox.

Basic Questions I' having today after keyword research:

1 . After getting result from a [EXACT] keyword search how to select keywords to target ? what criteria you follow ?
    2. If a keyword that have more Global monthly searches - 135,000 and competition is too low - 0.04 . & Estimated Avg. CPC is around $1 to get 1'st ad position ... is worth to target ?
    3. Is outsourcing articles is necessary ? .. What will be result if I get a article from internet , spin it myself , add some more useful content in it , targeting the keywords , and make it more Batter and Useful than original ??? Because at this stage i can't pay anything to article writers ..
    4. Autoblogs are dead ? I started 1 a month before & I'm getting only 10-20 visitors per day .
    5. How to do SEO for a Amazon store ?
    6. can we get #1 with only white hat SEO ? without mass backlinking & ping Rss feed services ?

    1. After KW search - search for the competition.Just google your "keyword"
get the first 10 links put it in yhaoo site explorer (http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com) one by one. See how many
inlinks(backlinks) those sites having. OR Download free version of Traffic travis (www.traffictravis.com/). Enter your keyword. See how many backlinks
your competitors having. Also see the domain age and PR of those sites. Usually .gov, .edu and wikipedia sites are hard to outrank.
If you feel you can out rank them go for that keyword.

    2. KW with Global - 135,000 searches and CPC of $1 is good. But real fact to consider is competition.
Focous on long tail kyword with less searches (Global 1000+) and less competition. - its good to start here as a noob.

    3. No need to outsource. If you can write good, search articles in google re-write on your own with keyword on it.This is
what article writers do. :D OR Use article spinner spin your articles check for errors and use it. (make sure it passes
copyscape or other free tool like http://www.plagium.com - it searches simplar content on web).

    4. Autoblogs are dead. Don't wast your time there. Focous on Micro Niche Sites - MNS.

    5. Focous on the product you are using instead on keyword in other cases. Do on-Site SEO with that product name,
Build your links with your product name as tag.

    6. YES. You can rank No.1 with high competition KW only with white hat SEO.

Its hard to give you the exact result.
Considering one of your product/kwyword - Vaporizers.
You should have more than 10,000 quality backlinks from high PR (Page Rank) sites. to list in top 10.

The best way to getting high traffic is to come one number one 1 page of search engines. Rule is simple, your site must contain material that is unique, less competitive and highly searched.

Do not, under any circumstances, use the keyword meta tag. It will only have a negative effect. Think about it fro the prespective of a search engine, its programmed to make its own decisions, the last think it wants is to be told what to do. Its common practise these days to only use the description meta tag and a well written title.

Have you done Keyword Research? Have you written some articles with those keywords and organized your site well? I would advise downloading traffic travis and using googles keyword tool. Make sure all of your on site SEO is on point, as well.
