I see many marketplace posts about proxy services. But I don't have a clear idea about this.

Now what I only know about proxy is, I have YT video download site.
So I use tor proxy to prevent IP ban while scrap videos from YouTube. (but tor has many bad IPs :weep: )

Is that same thing they're selling?
Can I install them to VPS & use it to generate random IP while scrapping?

There are different proxies for different tasks.. scraping YT video's I would us dedicated proxies.. Not Tor

Do you have any recommendations?

Reading guides would help greatly. There is too much information for someone to answer every single question you may have starting.

You can use a VPS, but VPS can't create IP. But there is a solution that might help you. I wrote a how to.
search:
Build your own proxy Server with easy and for free

Start there and if you have any questions post them. That way we can help everyone.

But VPS doesn't give you residential ip, it also gives you the same IP unless you are creating-destroying your virtual machine over and over again.

Correct a VPS alone would only give you the IP attached to it. But the script I wrote turns the VPS into a proxy gateway. With fresh proxies every 10 mins. Take a look at the post. If you have any problems post them on that thread and I will help.

"Can I install them to VPS & use it to generate random IP while scrapping?" - You can indeed
If you're scraping data, what you need are 4G mobile proxies. These proxies are cell phone based proxies that give you a true mobile experience (which means tricking platforms to believing that the requests they are getting are coming from a real mobile device from a real person and not a bot). Proxy providers give you the freedom to rotate proxies manually so yes, if you get rotating proxies, you can change the IP while scraping to avoid sending too many requests from one single IP.
