Hi guys and gals

Ive got a client for whom Im doing a monitoring job for his name and brand, but he isnt very well known, gets few mentions on social networks or google. He isnt paying me very much, but still I like to do a professional job with everything I embark on, and well Im a bit loss as to what template should I use for my reports for this client.

Ive come up with my own version of what a ORM; report should look like when theres not much to talk about, Ive added a few SEO components, but Im not happy about the presentation of the report, and Id like more modules to add to this report, more components or ideas to make it more substantial, so Id like to see a template for these cases, or generally Id love to take an indepth look at templates for ORM reports for companies of all sizes, particularly small ones

Havent found anything on the internet thats of real use to me, can anyone help?

I used to feel like you did. All of the outsourced companies spend a lot of time and energy preparing reports. I hated doing reports. I realized that my clients don't care much about the reports and few read them.

I started sending an email monthly telling them what we did, why we did it and what the benefit is.

For example:

Hey Mr. Valdemar, just wanted to give you a quick update for September.

We have secured a great guest post at http://example.com which has a DA65 and great readership (27k Twitter followers!).

We also built a few links on our private network with the goal of helping this page rank, http://example.com. Here are those links:

We've begun the process of increasing your Twitter followers (real people only) as we've seen ranking increases correlated with more twitter followers. You started at 350 and today you're at 6400! Over the next two months you should be about 15,000.

This month we plan to...

You get the idea. A big Excel spreadsheet is a waste of time in my opinion.
