Hello everyone I recently had an android app developed just to find out, in a shocking manner, that I cannot sell my app for money on the Google Play Store as my country, South Africa, is not listed.

My app is focused strictly on the South African market and I need to launch it on the Google Play store asap! Does anyone have a workaround to get an app launched from countries not part of the paid app list in the Play store.

Any advice would be largely appreciated.

JR DIP, thanks for the reply but I have not yet launched my app due to the fact that I cannot launch it as a paid app.

My app is of such a nature that I cannot release a free version and frankly don't want to.

Lol thanks Treeofl1, I've been googling this damn problem all day and read that earlier. Thanks for the reply, looks like my dreams for launching my app in SA are very bleak at the moment.

Good to get a reply from a fellow South African!

Don't give up dude. Try launching it in different places like Amazon and see if you get any success. SA is a very new market for such things right now, we get noticed last, best just stay positive and wait it out otherwise :) I'm curious what your app does, if you would like to PM me? South Africa only stuff is always good ^^

Try to get US android Dev acc and A US VBA ( Payoneer or Secondeye is selling it here )

JokerNikx according to what I have read when you have an US account you will need to provide google with a tax number or ssn number. One can also set up a shell company - from what I have read, so I am not sure getting a us bank account would be enough. Google checkout messes everything up.

Lol my app is very very basic and is only focused one the South African market which narrows down my chances for success widely but I believe that the app can be used in many instances which makes it valuable. The only reason I personally think that having the app on the Google play store would be a major factor in my success is that on the Google play store is where most people go to get apps especially South Africans. The South African market is relatively small with only 800 000 Android users and who knows have many of them even buy apps or use other stores like the samsung or amazon app store.

I can try launching on Amazon Store, Samsung Store and Androidpit but I am not sure if it would be as successful as I hoped.
