Need Help with domain Keyword

Hello guys,

I want to make blog about transportation/logistic/etc...

I want to put the following ¨ Logistic¨ word on my domain.


PALAVRA-CHAVE ¨Logistic¨
VOL 22.200/month
CPC $9.00
PD 11
SD 41
With is at ¨Low Competition¨ at Ad Words.

But other keywords like: logistics and supply chain recruiters and online logistics and supply chain management got very low searchs/month but very high competition at Ad Words. Those are linked niches.

Since Logistics got a low score at Ad Words competiton should i avoid to use it at my domain?

"Logistics" has low value because it is non-specific and can be used for many different purposes. Few advertisers are paying to compete on that search term.

Using it with "supply chain", as in your examples, increases the value and competition because supply chain management and logistics is an important, valuable and competitive industry. This is the most common use of logistics but the term can be used in many industries.

If a company is called "JD Supply Chain Logistics", "Big Money Marketing Logistics" or "Rock N Roll Tour Management Logistics" you have a pretty good idea what they do.

If the company is called "Davis and Jones Logistics" then you really have no idea what industry they are in or what they do. Of course, the most common assumption would be supply chain and shipping.

Searching for "logistics" by itself returns definitions, Wiki articles and government agencies that support logistics for companies, again, focused on shipping and supply chain management. But "logistics" could mean coordinating any complex system of entities.

In other words , "logistics" is not the key identifier for most businesses. Whether you use it in your domain or not depends on what other keywords you want to use and what your over marketing plan is.

I don't think you avoid should using it as it seems to pertain to the business you want. It only gets low Ad Words value because it is less targeted than most advertisers want when paying for keywords.

So, you say that if the domain keyword is niche linked with other high competitive longtails keywords ( such as mba degrees ), it is not a bad call?

and what do you think about 3 words domain? Like ¨The XXX Portal¨ .com ?

if the xxx word is short that's fine by me. I usually pick domains that are about 8-15 characters.
