Greetings people! I have small issue with an affiliate link. As most users tend to use adblock and similar stuff, my affiliate buttons with direct links embedded in them get blocked out and thats real bad. I tried the google shortener but google blocked that direct affiliate link. Oh and yes I have a movie streaming site and above the embedded player there's a button "watch in hd". So basically i need people to see that button (which has an affiliate direct link in it) with their adblocks turned on. ty.

P.S. I apologize if this is too silly a question, as im not really experienced with ads and adblock.

EDIT: I just found out from my affiliate admins that the only real way to do this is to implement a variable script. I have the code but as a newbie i dont know how to implement it :(

Use an adblock detector plugin to display a message to your visitors that your site will not function correctly with adblock enabled.

Thanks for the quick answer! But the problem is that the vodlocker embedded video player there doesnt work if adblock is disabled. It has ads and links all over it and users cannot reach the play button...

I don't know of any way you could have the best of both, ie. adblock enabled and still show your ads. Is there not another video streaming provider you could use?

'@sturose's solution would probably be the best, but if you can't use an adblock detector you can try to use another link shortener... Just google "URL shortener" and you will find some. Let me know if this works out!

Thanks for the info guys. I have tried a number of shorteners already and the adblock just shuts down the opening page instantly. But my affiliate admins told me of a solution (check edit) - a variable script. Sadly i have no idea how to implement it.

Honestly; I'm not sure what you mean with a variable script. But anyhow, I'm pretty sure your affiliate admin can help you implementing it.

Hello guys, its a new day and im announcing a small job/gig opportunity! So obviously I have a movie streaming site and my affiliate is ad-center BUT as most movie streamers know there's a specific ad-center affiliate ad script thats embedded in two or one button "watch in hd" or "download". So anyone who has experience with this is very welcome to help me for a reward (10$-15$ , depending on how fast you can do it). Basically it's a variable script that intercepts the click event and redirects to the desired stored link and needs to be implemented into two buttons. Gather round peeps.

Alright. I got the issue resolved. Thanks for the feedback. Admins - you can close this thread. ty.
