Hello,

I own a website where the daily visitors on an average of 5,000 and daily page views are on an average of 100,000.

Currently I am using Hostgator Cloud Hosting Business Plan (6gb ram and 6 core cpu), I also purchased 2 core as add-on. Now its 8 core.

Currently in this website I already have 5000+ posts. Now whenever I try to add some fresh content from the backend (WordPress) to the website I get 500 internal error (not always but sometime). I am using some website monitoring tool to monitor if the website is down or now, the website get down daily for 1 or 2 time for a few seconds.

I need help, if you guys can help me to fix this issue. Should I go with better host or move to VPS or Dedicated Hosting (also suggest me some plans).

P.S.: Currently I am using Cloudflare, keycdn, WP Rocket for managing website speed.

Buddy, you are spending too much money on your hosting. Try Royalcloud dot net hosting once, you will never face any issue becz i'm using it from last 3 years and faced not a single issue.

Haven't heard too many good things about Hostgator. Try Siteground, their speed and uptime are great. I never had a problem with them

Own by Nikhil Darji or promoted by?

I guess your issue in .htaccess , please consult to your hosting provider to rename .htaccess..

If not success, you must unactive all plugins you install..you can active these plugins one by one to monitor your issue,,,

Their 8 core cloud hosting costs $250 a month (I don't have that much budget). I thought to buy GoGeek package is not able to handle my website (already discussed with them).

Look, hostgator is the worst, even if you buy their dedicated plans(which are too expensive) you'll still face similar issue. Just buy a VPS from Vultr or DigitalOcean.

Both are out of my budget.

How much do you suggest? I can find memory_limit in php.ini file.
1.how about your wordpress dashboard,? Is it always error ?

2. To increase memory limit, it depend your site..For my sites, i need bigger 256m, so i choose 368m..

Have you tried contacting Hostgator? There seems to be some problem with your website. I have Hostgator shared hosting for like $10/month, 5,000 posts + many thousands of other pages for tags and such. I have sent 10,000+ visitors to the site in a day with no issues. No downtime, no lag, no errors adding more posts. I don't have CDN, Cloudflare, nothing special. Just basic shared hosting. So, there is a configuration problem it seems, or something on your site is taking too many resources.

You can buy a 2 core/80gb-ssd/4gb-ram VPS on DigitalOcean for as low as 20$. How can it be out of your budget ?
The 2 core will not be able to take the load of my website, as the 8 core is not able to.
