can anyone help with this? thanks!

Your wifi connection has nothing to do with your proxy. What's your phone?! How you are tryind to use the proxies?

I know what you're trying to do, as I've done it before. But be aware that when you connect thru the proxy like that thru the WiFi on your phone, it will only change the ip for the browser, and not the IG app.. so make sure you connect to IG only thru your browser.

After adding the proxy, open up your browser and see if it has an Authentication. On my Samsung, and on proxies with User/Pass, I simply add the proxy under the wifi with the IP and Port, then open up Chrome to authenticate the proxy. Always works.

oh thanks! I'll keep that in mind! but did you actually try this before?? cause im debating on whether it's worth the money and if it will work...did it work for you? I'm a little sceptical about it

What are you trying to do? Your link that you posted is protected, so I have no clue what you're attempting.

When you use the the Proxy under the WIFI, it will route everything through the proxy, so YES it will change it for the Instagram APP too. (I have logged to over 50 accounts from my phone on tons of different proxies)

No it doesn't. You might of thought you were connecting to the proxy 50x .. you were just connecting using your WiFi's ip. Go look it up. I'll give you a prime example. Connect using a proxy that requires authentication, it won't require you to put the username and password until you open the browser. Go open the app, it just automatically connects with no authentication.. because you're not connecting to the app with the proxy. It's your regular ip. I researched all this awhile ago when I was trying to do just that. And you'll read on numerous sites that it doesn't use the proxy for the app when you do it thru the wifi.

No, it actually doesn't. A simple Google search will show you that it won't.. thats where I got it from..

I am pretty sure it was working (at least on my phone). One way that I can confirm this, is the fact that some accounts would get a It Was Me challenge, and it was in fact showing the IP location.

I'm telling you, it doesn't use the proxy bro. You telling me it bypasses the authentication to allow you to get on IG? Impossible. You need to authenticate the connection period while connecting to anything. It's just using your regular ip. I could link you to multiple articles spelling it out for you, but I'm sure you're capable of looking it up thru Google if you still don't believe me.

Edit - ah, saved you the trouble. -> https://stackoverflow.com/questions...roxy-settings-apply-to-all-apps-on-the-device

Well that is weird... I am sure it still does tho, since I can see the It Was Me challenge with a different location.

I will be testing this again in the morning and will confirm on the latest version of IG.

You need your wifi connection to connect to your proxy. If the proxy is working, so your local conn is working to.

Link works now this is what I'm trying to do instead of botting
