Hey Guys,

I am working on a clients website SEO and stuck in a middle when correcting the On Page , the site is related to Health niche. My question is:

1. The site page names are not optimized, what if I changed the page name? if yes what should I do ,shall i delete that page or rename the existing one? in both cases what steps I follow to re-index the updated page on Google??

2. Some small piece of the content on the home page with READ MORE link pointing to the another inner page where the content is full, is it effect the ranking? is it comes in a duplicate content???

Please guys , suggest me.

1. You don't have to delete the page. Just make the changes and Google will pick it up shortly after.

2. No, this wont be duplicate content. Google bots crawl your site and will eventually get to your full page content. Also content within the same domain is not considered duplicate unless you picked up the text from another site - word by word.

Any other advice or should I go for hairzd suggest

Go with what harizd has to suggest . Google will only crawl the main content and simply ignore the other contents so it wont be considered duplicate.

wow, i'd hate to be your client relying on you for SEO. Just saying that you should know all this b4 taking someone elses hard earned cash.

There's a three step process I would recommend for you OP...

1. Refund your client
2. Buy a domain and learn to rank a website
3. Take down your ad in your avatar unless you get Jr.VIP.

Duplicate content question arise me to think as ahrefs shows me the duplicate content on 2 pages.

Why take up the job then ? Experiment on yourself and not others.

That's why you should do yourself and other businesses a favor by ranking your own site successfully first. I call "experts" people who know absolutely everything that's public, some stuff that's not, and are testing all the time to see changes.

People on the front lines of SEO. Sure, you can get stuck with something, if you asked me how to handle multiple locations/domains or to have a / after a domain or not I would think you know at least enough to possibly help a client.

You might think we are beating you up. No sir. It's in your best interest along with other parties to learn more before you jump in and take peoples money. =)

That's why I keep suggest the site owners to learn the basics of SEO. It will help to avoid such situations with hiring someone who doesn't know the simplest things yet. Don't bite Blackhatlover. It's clients' fault. If they want to give him their money then let it be))

And it is this attitude that gives hard working and genuine SEO's a bad name! When you take your car to a mechanic, you trust him with the intricacies of any fix he/ she will perform, and you trust that he will do a good job even if you know the basics. When you ask a builder to work on an addition to a house and later down the line it collapses, is it the owner's fault for not being a builder?? Come on man, have some ethics! Remember, what goes around comes around.

Don't make your client down. Don't waste his time and money .. First start with your own and than go with others...

What planet do you live on? Most business owners are busy running their businesses and don't have time to learn SEO/IM/Web Design/ETC. You say it's the customers fault for believing and trusting someone who "claims" to be an SEO expert?

I hope you get taken advantage of one day with that kind of thinking and see how it feels.

On page usually has to be taken care of before your website is indexed, but yes, you can change anytime but 301 old struture to new ones. Wordpress seo plugins take care of that.

Hi

1. To do on-page SEO you need not to delete pages, just change the titles and descriptions. Also include keywords in titles and descriptions. You also need to do proper keyword research before changing the names of pages( i.e title and title of pages).

2. There would be no effect on ranking as such. For inner pages, make sure that you are using proper keyword density (2 to 4%). Also you should use at least five hundred words article for on-page. There is no issue of duplicate content.

Regards
