Hello,

I have 5 websites with content all related to the same niche "3 months old" some are ranking well for long tail keywords page 2 - 3, those websites have good backlinks
I created a new domain name "my main money site", will post there 5 - 7 long articles per week, for the same niche too.

Now please i'm looking for a straight answer for those questions

1 - When exactly can i do 301 redirection to the main website with those 5 websites, assuming that the main website have 20 articles "goal 200 articles" with 0 backlink.
2 - What's the best way to do 301 redirection, trough domain panel, wordpress, or htaccess?
3 - Must i buy various backlinks for Main site first before doing 301 redirection?
4 - My Main site will be BH, is it good to work on it without linking it to GSC? Does it affect rank in the long run?
5 - What's better, 301 redirection, or putting links for my main website on those 5 websites?

I really appreciate your help about this.

Thanks a lot

normally you 301 the domains if you dont want the websites anymore (or bought expired ones) so you get the link juice.
it sounds like you still want to keep the websites, so why not create a PBN and/or cloak traffic from those other websites to your main website?
that way you can get more traffic.

Yes, i got it, also i really don't care if i lose those 5 websites with 301 redirect to get link juice for main website, just wanna know how should i do that to not screwing up everything.

then best way is to just 301 on the domain level, or simply use .htaccess

Can someone help me on this? I still didn't done anything yet, will do based on your answers

1. During a Rebrand, or you don't want those 5 domains anymore.
To elaborate on the "time", I would not redirect them all at once, I would spread them out. Let your moneysite age for a few more months before you start.
Once again, if you have GA or anything google tracking, they can easily check your traffic, a dead site with minimal traffic getting sites redirected at it is a big red flag.

2. Domain Panel and Htaccess is usually preferred, wordpress is also suffice. negligible difference if there is any.
You might also want to redirect the difference between 301s redirections, it broads into many different categories
Quick tip, 302 does not pass link juice.

3. If this is a rebrand (which is odd and doesn't look right since you have 5 sites) then you don't.
However, I am under the assumption it's not. I would get a few links, I would go with high quality links but since you mentioned in you are going to be BH, then it's really whatever.

4. Doesn't matter, do what you want. If you do link to GSC, make sure it's footprints isn't tied to any other sites (for example, your other 5 domains)

5. Well, it's hard to say without the stats of your sites, but if they are "under 3 months old", then putting links for your main website on those 5 websites may potentially be better than redirection in the long run.

Overall, redirection is more risky, but it's brings high yield if the domain used are good.

Thanks a lot for your time explaining every point.

I will go with putting links on those websites first for the next 3 months. Then start redirection one by one in a manier time.

For the GSC part, since my main site will be BH, i will use a cloaker for certain pages or posts, and i've read somewhere that linking a bh website to gsc is a bad idea. Just wanna confirm this.

I would redirect 1-2 of them and use the others as PBNs, a lot of different websites did get hit since the last year cause of too many domain redirects,
You should simply pick the best 2 of them, let your website settle in the SERPs for some of the keywords and then make the redirect in a page-level (htaccess would be the easiest way to do the job)
Adding the website to GSC wouldn't really make any problem unless you're dealing with PBNs (footprints) or some penalised websites, so you should be fine in your case
