Hello guys, learning from you everyday, this forum is truly awesome

I'm working in the ORM business, charging small fees because at the moment I don't feel like I know enough to give a "premium" service so to speak. I've had good success, my clients are happy because they see results for not much money, but I want to take a step forward to look more professional, and one important aspect are the reports I send to my clients.

They're good reports, very complete, perhaps too complete, with a pinch of humor here and there, but I want to send something really professional. Problem is I cant find any example of a Reputation Online report in detail. The model I came up with is something of my own making, meaning something original but also something that could be improved a lot.

What Im searching for are examples, blueprints of good and professional ORM reports but I havent found any on the net. I'd really appreciate if you could point me in the right direction as to where I can find archetypes or typical designs that'll look professional on where to deliver my ORM reports, or if you could perhaps suggest what fields or aspects should be the main on such a report, because mine is a potpourri, a confused one, I feel.

Thanks guys! any help would be really appreciated!

Honestly, I have just used email as the monthly report for the last 11 years. I tried PDF's that looked great, I even recorded a ~15 minute video report for every client for a few months with my face down in the corner and recording my screen. The clients seemed to like the video reports, but at the end of the day, it was a lot of work and client retention didn't change.

I simply create an email like this:

March 2018 Report

Hey John,

The results are looking great again this month! Here is a screenshot showing all of the rankings. As you see, none are on page 1 as of today. There may be fluctuation, but it's a great sign!

This month we did this and here are the links.

We also did this, here are the links.

Both of those campaigns were designed to not only rank well themselves, but push up existing positives. Here are a couple of the positive results that we pushed up. We started tracking them knowing they would move up.

This month we're planning on doing THIS and THAT. Our goal is that we'll continue to see the negatives moving down. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call or email anytime!
I'm not saying this is the best way as I know a LOT of other ORM companies prepare 10 page PDF's each month. I prefer to keep it simple and on my sales calls, I mock the use of fancy reports :)

many thanks, good answer. Haha, I was thinking about the video report thing but I'm camera shy, so I was tempted to use a cartoon style type of video report, but that'd be exactly going against the new, more polished and professional image I'm trying to convey.

While agreeing with all your points, problem Ive got is I do try to overcompensate with very in depth reports, that I know for a fact the clients won't read, but will make at least the impression that I'm doing many things for them, which incidentally, is 100% true, because I do have plenty of arrows in my bow. You gotta understand in the country where I work, ORM is a relatively new and unexplored thing, and the client isnt very certain what he or she is getting for their bucks, so they need to see what kind of results I'm getting for them.

So although your answer was very useful and appreciated, I'd love to see anyone give me other examples of ORM reports they do, or they have found anywhere. I'm aiming at "to the point" reports that look very professional, are easily scalable, easy to fill in every month, and easy to understand for the client, while not leaving any good work I've done out of it.

Every month is the same headache because My reports are very time consuming, and not clear enough. I want to fix this but truly I havent found any examples of good, professional looking ORM reports of the type I make anywhere, and believe me I've searched.

I'm not surprised. I wouldn't expect professionals to put their reports online. That wouldn't be good for them or their clients.
