[Need help!] A competitor on Fiverr!

    Hello BHW,

    I've just gotten a Level 2 reward from Fiverr an hour ago and this competitor is trying to get me down by ordering my gig, and not leaving anything to start the work [he is] hoping that I don't deliver on time and get an automatic negative review, or deliver his work and he'll probably leave a 1 start review, or I could cancel the order which would lead to a higher cancellation rate (because he can order my gig 5-10 [or even more] times and if I cancel all of them, it will lead to a higher cancellation rate and he'll get a full refund from Fiverr).


    How did I know that he's a competitor?
    -I did some search and found out his original account (which also provides the same services as I do) and saw about 9 positive reviews on his original account from his 2nd account (the one he used to order my gig from).

    He only wrote "Thanks!" in the order requirements page.



    Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks in advance!

    Try to contact the buyer . If he is not replying send a mutual cancellation notice. If the buyer did not accept it for 2 days it the order will be automatically cancelled and refund is given to the buyer , not leaving any bad review for your account. If the buyer declines the cancellation then contact the customer support with all the proof you have. They will sort it out for you

    I've contacted him on both his inbox and the order page; he is online but doesn't replay...

    The better is to talk to fiverr support and provide them all proof of order, You need to take snap of the order to show this as proof to fiverr support.

    Fiverr support is generally very good for sellers, just send them all the information you have and they will help you out.

    Such dirty tactics... crazy at what some people can do! 100% recommend sending an email to Fiverr outlying all the details.

    He has given me a link to start working on his order. I have done all the work and marked his order as delivered. I'm now just waiting to see how he's going to respond.... If he gives a negative review, I will contact Fiverr support and see how it goes..

    Same happened with me thrice :)
    I've mentioned to the Fiverr support, they took 3 days for step by step analysis and kept a look on his inbox.
    In the end, they got the deal right as I was the loyal one.
    They removed negative feedback, cancellation and everything.

    There support simply rocks.

    That is a foul play...well I'm glad you're wise enough to detect who you're dealing with and what his motives are. Since you've already delivered his order, just keep your fingers crossed while waiting for his review. Should he leave you anything below Good, make him pay by ordering his gig and leave him a 500 words negative review.I've always thought fiverr is a free ground where anyone and everyone with something tangible to offer can earn good income, which was why I put together a concept for a fiverr gig barely 18hours ago. I hope fiverr would be fertile enough for me.Anyways, keep doing your best...that way, positive reviews would always come your way.All the best!

    It's been almost 13 hours since I delivered the work and he hasn't posted any review nor did any update on the order. If he gives me anything below Good, I will contact Fiverr support and see how it goes; if they don't do anything about it, I will make him wish he never placed that order.

    Report to fivver do not turn in work, let fivver know what he is doing, you will need some form of evidence, but fivver has ip tracking and other
    tools.

    You can cancel the order or ask the admins to do this. You must be OK with things like that, because fiverr is full with such competitors with tons of accounts and this and related things will be happen to you very regular. The problem is in fiverr, because the buyer is always right for them and the admins never spend time for researching (in the past wasn't like that). Sometime they ban such buyers, but all of the negatives stays. Such competitors are the only reason I don't give a f*** for fiverr anymore and don't promote my gigs from year and more even I have over 12K completed orders. Now I just deliver such orders holding the negative feedback. Believe me if everybody do like me these mf will gone hungry from fiverr. Just tell the buyer "Thanks for the tip" and deliver :).

    About the support - I don't test them from long time, but not happy.

    I frequently order my competitor's gigs to make sure mine are better :) - hopefully your competitor is doing the same thing...

    I can see why you are paranoid, but judging from my experience with the fiverr support you can sleep well tonight, OP :). Even if he dares to do some dirty stuff you can easily get the review removed just by proving that you did nothing wrong :)
