Need downloads for my Booty Book iphone app. Read!

Created an iphone app that I am trying to get out to the public. I initially offered it free and with no advertising it received about 10,000 downloads. Now I put a price tag of 1.99 and am looking to get the quick buck. The app is essentially a little black book for individuals to use when managing there sex life. Basically looking for someone who can think outside the box and help me get this in the hands of iphone users. Some ideas are having pornstars advertise, this cost would be 800 bucks. I am currently on Porn sites but it has dies out now. I have emails of iphone users but cant mass email them for legal reasons and also my email gets banned. I think with the right exposure and targeted at the right market it could generate a little money. PM me if interested in working something out.

Instead of charging people for it, how about getting them to complete surveys and all through PPD advertisements?

So is basically like facebook but only with people you'd actually fuck. Now, I'm obviously not that popular with the ladies to need software to manage them, however i can't help but wonder, if there are so many people you're banging that you need an app to organize them, isn't that like the last thing you'd spend your time on? I mean if i'd have a list of countless girls i'm game with, I'd just think off the top of my mind who to go out with tonight.

I'm not throwing dirt at your app, it just wonders me that people actually use it. 10k is a lot of folks. But honestly i'm thinking is just people hoping some software improves their sex life.

About monetization, I'd hook it up to a dating site API and pull pic+summary info formatted just like the contacts and when you click it it tells you you need an account. You can even make it have like a tab with "recommended for you" or "girls/guys nearby".

Or if you want to be really badass, do a server-side data analysis on the images and personal data and give everybody stats about the people in their list like:

Big Buddy - Not a bad idea, I tried contacting some models and pornstars but I never get responses. Instagram doesn't have a message system so I have to find them elsewhere first. I could also create my own Instagram page and post images. My Concern I have is If I post booty pics or something sex related you think I can be held legally responsibly for copyright? I see so many people doing this but I have a product behind it so I know its different. Any ideas on who would shout out? I even approached the webcam community and wow were they all cunts.

Goodman - I wasn't at first, but also its difficult to ask them to do surveys as I didn't want to pollute the app just yet with annoying advertising.

Mad octopus - Its different than facebook, its more basic. You input profiles of people you meet on dating sites, school, work, or real world as you go. Normally when you start talking with someone you obtain certain information about them. What they are studying, family, background, interests, dislikes, hobbys, favorite foods, etc. The app is designed to take these little conversations and store them as fields in the app. Now at first glance you can recall any information or conversations you had in the past. The app reminds you also that its been "X" amount of days and you should probably contact them for fear they are losing interest. Also tells you when is too soon so you don't come off desperate. Its not specifically for people who are drowning in ass, in fact it was designed for the PUA (Pick up artist) community or individuals like me who need motivation. Think like a sales person tracking there clients. (The address, whos the owner, when we did last sale with them, what that sale was, what they may need, when I last contacted them, etc). As a salesman I can strategically approach my clients with perfect timining and have the proper efficient conversation with them to ensure a sale.

Integrating a dating site would be excellent! But who would associate with me and allow me to tap into their API? I like some of your ideas I will shoot you a message if you have the time to talk.

Entropic - there are dating sites out there with affiliate systems and possibly APIs. Even if there are no APIs you can just use some random pics of girls that match the profile of a person if that's how u want to advertise (e.g. hyspanic, 18-25 yo, long hair). The idea is to mingle the ads with the app content so it looks very similar.

About the whole idea of the app - is a really fucked up way of looking at romance. Romance should be a fun thing not a "I closed 20 clients this month" thing. Too early/eager or too late - come on. You're never to early to call. If you have the right attitude you can call a girl after 1 hour since you left her and say something like "hey, i'm just stalking you now. just thought to give you a heads up" or something.

Is hard to give you a strategy for a dating-related app. Especially since I don't relate to the idea behind your app. Myself I'd never bother entering data or keeping track of women. If I like a woman I keep track of her in my mind.

If you want to evolve your app, one idea (not the best though) is to do a survey among your users and see how they use the app and what they'd like in it. Questions will make the difference if you get valuable info or not.

Advertising wise, have some public people go on a date with a winner. Like do a contest or whatever. Maybe even have people donate money for a noble cause like breast cancer or whatever that's at least tangentially related to sex/dating. Get some celebs in to go on a date with the winners - both men and women because you want women in the user base too. Of course this isn't a trivial idea but you can take it down a notch or two. Thing big, then scale down to the level you can actually implement. Or don't scale down at all and be awesome.

Do some shit that can go viral that's related to your app. Also, don't limit your app to what you want or think it should be or to what it is now.

I will try and find some APIs I can connect too. But once I make the fake looking pics what than? not following where the revenue comes in. Getting people to sign up for dating profiles?

I greatly respect and appreciate that even though you are not into the app you are taking the time to give me some input. Means alot...It's not for romance really, I am catering to a Jersey Shore, Hip Hop, PUA, Highschool, College, etc fanbase.
