Need advise how to fix website ranking

Some context:
1. We were ranking pretty well before Sep 23 update
2. We bought a lot of backlink before Sep 23 update
3. Disavow almost all backlink in Dec 23
4. Work a lot on the content to overhaul the site, no improvement

Ranking is still tanking. We are planning to move to a new site entirely.

It looks like disavowing backlinks hurt your authority. Before moving sites, check your disavow file, improve content quality (E-E-A-T), and run a technical SEO audit. Moving may not solve it.

Well, let's take a look. Ave Position and CTR is very good. The two are correlating well without much change. It is very possible that buying backlinks has hurt you. Disavows are of limited use. It looks like two waves of downturns. One in Oct, 2023 and Apr, 2024.

What have you done from a content creation standpoint? What is your DR? What is the nature of your site: blog or ecom? I am going to guess that you are lacking content on collections and that your product pages are copies of manufacturer descriptions. Without looking further, I would think you can benefit from finding your pillars and getting quality copy on product pages, brand pages and collections, and then look at the competition and see what collections they have, and create collections that mirror the searches on Google. Collections are not MECE, one product can have multiple collections.
