I have tried AdSense but not happy with it connected affiliate links got no sales. I can scale and take the website to 50k traffic in the next couple of months. I have thought about featured listings but not sure who will pay for it though. I get comments where people complain about the brands

Featuring sponsored listings on the homepage and sidebar will be awesome. You can charge a fixed amount for a monthly sponsored listing.

You can contact websites that list directory websites for the clients and ask them to give a link to your website on theirs. The second method is to advertise locally on Google and the third way is to get listed on local business websites.

Almost the same situation here. I have a site with 20k users and looking for a better alternative to AdSense. The traffic is diverse and about 40% from USA. I checked many ad networks but they require much more traffic. Clickbank offers got a few clicks but far less than AdSense. The CTR was terrible. AdSense pays a couple houndreds per month but far less then what I expected. It needs a month or so to warm up if you just start using it.

Look through the Affiliate programs sub-forum here and see what affiliate network might work better for you. Surely there is Amazon but there are also a lot of credible and effective affiliate networks that you can work with. One recommnedation we can give is LosPollos.
