They are a bit blurry but you can fix up the pictures however you need

I can't make out the first or third one at all. These are relatively easy to solve though I can do them if you want.

If this is out of a textbook check out www.cramster.com for 15 you can get a year long membership.

What math level is this, pure or applied 30?
 
Alright I can't make out problem 1.

Problem 2 involves using the Trapezoidal Rule which is explained here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trapezoidal_rule

Problem 3 I can't make out.

Problem 4 involves using Riemann sums on a closed interval to get an area approximation. It is explained here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riemann_sum

I'm not actually going to do these because they are pretty straightforward when you read up on them. Don't you have a textbook with these problems that explains everything?
 
I wish those pics were more clear.. I could solve all calculus problems but I can't see those questions..

Is that Calc 2 ? Since, Calc 1 mostly consists of Derivatives and Antiderivatives and some limits.
 
I used to be able to do this shizzle fairly easy & quickly....About...5 years ago. You tend to become rusty when you don't touch calculus after a while lol. There are certain rules for it; follow them.

Thats wrong. You integrate.

Thats why you need to use the Riemann definition of an integral.

Trapezoid rule = h/2 * (f(X0) + f(X1))

h = X1 - X2

In this case, the separation = 15 ft = h

h/2 = 7.5

The line lengths are the f(x)'s

The area for 1st section = 7.5 * (85 + 125)
The area for 2nd section = 7.5 * (125 + 137)

Total area = 7.5* (85 + 125 + 125 + 137 + 137 + 149 + 149 + 141 + 141 + 139 + 139 + 140 + 140 + 141 + 141 + 132 + 132 + 127 + 127 + 71)
= 19635




3. Assuming I can read it right, it says the side is 3.0 inches

Answer: +- 0.27 inches^3

x = 3 inches
dx = 0.01 (the possible error)

V = x^3 (volume)

dV = 3x^2 dx (This is the derivative of Volume, also the error)
= 27 * 0.01
= 0.27




4.


Answer: 5.75

You take the rieman sum with 4 intervals.

Divide it into 4 rectangles, x=0 to x=0.5, x=0.5 to x=1, x=1 to x=1.5, x=1.5 to x=2

Area of each rectangle = x*y

Because it wants the lower sum you use the lower values of x (0, 0.5, 1, 1.5)

Area1 = 0.5 * (0*5 - 0^2)
Area2 = 0.5 * (0.5*5 - 0.5^2)
Area3 = 0.5 * (1*5 - 1^2)
Area4 = 0.5 * (1.5*5 - 1.5^2)

Sum = 5.75
 
Guess I'd get a big F if I sat in a higher level math class again without practice...However, I could sign the paper with $-signs.
