Went to add free SSL, didn't work.

Spoke to CS, who after 15 minutes explained they don't offer free SSL.

I ordered an SSL - easy enough.
Unable to access this, as CS kept sending me the link to the wrong page.
CS then suggested I email support.

Emailed reply was;

Hi,

you need to activate the SSL on this page https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/namesilo-hosting-utter-crap.1159273/

Once SSL activated, we will complete the SSL setup for you in couple of hours.

So here I am 2 days later, it is still not set up.

25 minutes this morning in livechat, his words were - email support.

Hosting cancelled, SSL cancelled = Life's too short for that type of crap service.

Yup, really bad service. Trying to charge for a service given for free everywhere.

I'm sure I saw some here on the marketplace. I'm with one for a couple of years now and it's great.
 
Advertise on BHW
Support also plays a huge role when deciding on hosting. Not just speed and other specs. I find siteground has the best support in my experience. Whenever I click the live chat button there will always be a competent support staff greeting me. No waiting times! Yes they are quite expensive but it's well worth it.

I'd say the same applies to any type of service - The end product is only part of what you're buying, it's the customer experience from start to finish.

If you all client is at the end of the day is nothing but an account number, something is wrong.
 
Screw them.

Also, avoid Host4Geeks. Experiencing perpetual issues with them and their CS is substantially below industry standards.

Any of you guys used hostwinds? I see it has a partnership with BHW and i thought to give it a try. It will be my first site in my life lol.
Any suggestion ?

Have used them once it was good experience never got the chance to interact with the support. Since its your first site you can go with that later move your websites to Digital ocean or aws serves since they are unmanaged and can be tuned as per your needs.
 
I am using a2hosting for about 3+ years, and so far it is the best hosting ever. No PHP version limitations like those who promote BHW + a2hosting is using Patchman service which is the best malware removal service for cPanel.
