Nameservers: how important is to have different ones?

Hi guys:

I'm setting up a network of ~150 sites. Different domains and C-classes, BUT, all with the same nameserver.

Would that be a problem? A too big footprint?

What do you guys think about it?

it is a very big footprint, you need to figure something out on that..

how did you get 150 different name servers? Care to shed some light on it?

It depends. How reliable is your primary name server? If it's up 24/7 then you don't really have anything to worry about. You should use a separate server as your secondary name server though. You can find providers that will do this for free. I've been meaning to do this but I'm too lazy. My VPS is always up anyways.

I talked to support a few minutes ago. They told me that I could do it on my panel (just need to contact support so they can guide me through)

Oh, crap. Name server didn't click for me... till I realized that (Domain) Name Server = DNS. I was confusing it with Hostname.

But support told me, clearly, that I could setup as many "private domain servers" as I want to. That's the same! :confused:

UPDATE:
Googled a little bit and is really easy to setup a name server for every domain, so I shouldn't have problems with that. I thought it was harder.
