It depends. How reliable is your primary name server? If it's up 24/7 then you don't really have anything to worry about. You should use a separate server as your secondary name server though. You can find providers that will do this for free. I've been meaning to do this but I'm too lazy. My VPS is always up anyways.
How did you setup different name servers for every domain? Can you please give me the link?
