It sounds like someone has hacked their database in order to gain access to that [email protected] email address. Are you sure that this was the correct emailing address?

I've also been getting those fake emails posing as USPS and PAYPAL companies. I just send em to spam. These little scammers are stepping their game up with those html emails. They look exactly like the real thing.
I've been seeing them since 2009, and even before that I believe. So it's nothing new.
They're just more common now.
I think if you get a decent spamfilter you won't run into as many. Just make sure never to fill in any information on a fake website.
So when you're about to fill in bank details, paypal, credit card info etc make sure you look at the url on the site.
Wow, can't believe a warning to the community to beware of scam can get this much bashed.
