Using an online personae is actually a very smart idea. If you listen to the radio or watch television do you think the DJs, musicians, singers, actors and actresses are giving you their real names? For the same reasons they use alias names, people online should do the same, especially on a blackhat forum.
I remember a post a while back by a well respected Moderator on this forum saying he would NEVER disclose his real name or picture to ANYONE on BHW. That probably says all that needs to be said about why everyone should use an alias on BHW.
